Well hopefully I am on my way to English0950. And I hope that skills i have learned in English 0750 carry over to 0950 as far as the diversity of writing styles I have gained by being in this class. I don’t know what to expect in 0950 or what kind of writing I will be doing in there, but I expect it will be some what the same may be a little more complex in writing styles. More writing summaries, essays,and may be some short stories I am guessing that will be part of the class, and the writing skills I have devolped in this class will carry of into the next.

This class consisted of writing several assignments such as summaries, a cover letter and resume and an essay.  I also had to devise a set of instructions that one could easily read and understand to perform all criteria pertaining to a certain job. Even though each assignment consists of  different writing styles the format is basically the same.  When writing you must have an introduction that lets the reader know what he or she is about to encounter in your paper (thesis) your are presenting.  The body consists of all of your facts/research and the ending summarizes everything that you have stated in your paper.

The thing  I have learned while doing my portfolio are to watch out for run on sentence, how to use a word,and word placement is some of the mistakes I make when writing a paper. These are some of the thing that I will have to correct as I go on to next level of writing. doing these assignments are a big help to me in improving my writing skills. Also doing lots more writing will allow me to be free in expressing myslef, and also not to be afrid to write a paper with out fear about how its going to come out.

The assignments that will be put into my  portfolio I felt that were the most interesting, and the most challenging to myself . i put the three that I could relate to. I really enjoyed the summary of finding and summary of finding review, also the instructions assignment was fun to do. I ch0ose summary of finding and review because they have to do with the world we live in today and what we have to look forward to in the future as far technology goes. The Instructions assignment was a assignment that was my own did the way I wanted to. Thats way i will put these three assignments into my portfolio.

As I am putting my portfolio together I noticing the mistakes I was making. Little as they may seem, but I made them over and over.  Mistakes like unnecessary words or i forgot to put a word in. Sometime I even had run on sentences that  pop up in my assignments. It just didn’t happen in one or two assignment it happen in all of them; sometimes it even happen in the same place in diffrent papers. So as I move on trying to improve my writing skills this is something I have to keep a close eye on when writing a paper.

Today we had to set up a blog. I never had a blog and i nknew very little about them.  Doing this is a little wired to me. I dont like  to write so everyone can see, but on the other hand  tthis might be a good for me to get over my fear of public writting. so this is my first time putting any thing on the net, so I hope I have fun doing this as well learn something from this
